There is no substitute for hard work.  The Bible says, “Wherefore the rather, brethren, give DILIGENCE to make your CALLING and ELECTION sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall.” (2nd Peter 1:10 KJV). 

“Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you.
“Be DILIGENT in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.”  (1st Timothy 4:14,15 NKJV).

“Seest thou a man DILIGENT in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.”  (Proverbs 22:29 KJV).
