Dreams

What is a dream?

A dream is an imagination directed and scripted in the mind of an individual of what they want to do or become. It is a mental glimpse into possibilities. It is seeing through the mind’s eye. When a divine dream is implanted in your heart, it becomes a driving force that propels you toward possibilities beyond the realm of human reasoning. It is a “God-idea.”

The way to get rid of the dream is to get rid of the dreamer! Joseph’s brothers hated him because of his dream and wanted to get rid of him. Hatred often seeks to eliminate the object of its discontent. A big dream attracts jealousy. The bigger the dream, the greater the jealousy. So guard your God-given dreams jealously. The dream that God has put within you must take root within your heart before you share it with another soul.

“Joseph had a dream, an when he told it to his brothers, they hated him all the more.” (Genesis 37:5 NKJV).

“At Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream….” (1st Kings 3:5 NKJV).

“‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.'” (Acts 2:17 NKJV).

Eventually, a dreamer is required to wake up! A dream must be fleshed out if it will make impact. It is not enough to dream. It is also important to implement your dreams by assigning God-inspired deadlines. This will put you under an obligation to see them fulfilled.
